Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Albert Ciuvică started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Aron Lesnea notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Varleni's Claudiu Luțu. Claudiu Luțu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Mircea Drăghici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Malcoci struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Nechifor Oprița didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varleni. In the 17th match minute, Varleni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Drăgan to maneuver through the defense. Nicodim Neguțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudiu Luțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Neguțu in the 22nd minute of the match. Nicodim Neguțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Luțu having to interfere. Daniel Boc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nechifor Oprița tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Emanuel Stoian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Albert Ciuvică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Claudiu Luțu throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nicodim Neguțu in the 41stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 44th minute Nicodim Neguțu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Luțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudiu Luțu made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Petru Muslea sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Ghidut FC's Manuel Elefteriu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudiu Luțu. That made the score 2-0 after 47 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nicodim Neguțu made the kick off in the second half. Claudiu Luțu came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ghidut FC's Petru Muslea. But to his dismay, Petru Muslea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 57 minutes into the match, Varleni's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Voica came free, but Claudiu Luțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Ciuvică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Nechifor Oprița tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Boc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nechifor Oprița made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Ciuvică in the 67th minute. Mircea Drăghici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nechifor Oprița tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Valentin Drăgan came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Varleni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Drăgan couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Petru Muslea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Luțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nechifor Oprița made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Ciuvică in the 79th minute. In the 79th match minute, Varleni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Boc to maneuver through the defense. Albert Ciuvică scored 3-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nechifor Oprița, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Albert Ciuvică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Varleni's Claudiu Luțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicodim Neguțu in the 87th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Mircea Drăghici mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varleni and the Ghidut FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Varleni getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Mircea Drăghici hit a great ball. Ionel Arnăutu kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match, Valentin Drăgan sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Nechifor Oprița showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. If Nicodim Neguțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudiu Luțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Elefteriu in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Varleni's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Muslea came free, but Claudiu Luțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ghidut FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
