Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felix Mârza started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Rareș Berechet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampoita's supporters rose to their feet, but Rareș Berechet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matei Zburliş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matei Zburliş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Berechet in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ampoita's zone, Cazimir Cocea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panait Pască came out of the goal and Cazimir Cocea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ampoita's Rareș Berechet got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Cristi Lucaci threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gusu's Luca Grămescu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Rareș Berechet, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 21 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Matei Zburliş was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Panait Pască was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Cazimir Cocea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cazimir Cocea really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Gusu's Matei Zburliş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Lupșoiu in the 31st minute of play. Rareș Berechet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Gusu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrică Daimacă to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 40 minutes, Rareș Berechet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ampoita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rareș Berechet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rareș Berechet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rareș Berechet to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Dacian Postolache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampoita's supporters rose to their feet, but Dacian Postolache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matei Zburliş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rareș Berechet did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Matei Zburliş 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ampoita booed when Gusu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugurel Dărăscu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rareș Berechet in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matei Zburliş saved Gusu from getting behind. Matei Zburliş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Berechet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 played minutes Gusu got a freekick which was hit by Rareș Şoiman. Rareș Berechet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matei Zburliş read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gusu's zone, Lucrețiu Ursu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matei Zburliş came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Ursu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rdth minute of the game Rareș Berechet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gusu's Matei Zburliş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 87 minutes, Cristi Lucaci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ampoita and the Gusu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Ampoita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Lucaci to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Rareș Berechet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matei Zburliş was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
