The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Rareș Arotăriței was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PeanutNetwork's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STEAUA BUCURESTI the free kick. Rareș Arotăriței kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Remus Apostu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valer Alecu's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Remus Apostu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Arotăriței in the 11th minute of play. When George Alupulesei fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PeanutNetwork's protests and gave George Alupulesei a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, PeanutNetwork's George Alupulesei got a free kick in the 13th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Valer Alecu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PeanutNetwork's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valer Alecu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remus Apostu came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by PeanutNetwork's Rareș Arotăriței. But to his dismay, Rareș Arotăriței quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Valer Alecu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Remus Apostu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute Rareș Arotăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Apostu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PeanutNetwork's George Alupulesei got his second yellow card of the match in the 30th minute. The referee ordered George Alupulesei off the ground. After 30 played minutes PeanutNetwork got a freekick which was hit by George Alupulesei. After having played for 35 minutes, Alexandru Enoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PeanutNetwork's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandru Enoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandru Enoiu struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Remus Apostu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PeanutNetwork. If Valer Alecu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valer Alecu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Apostu having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valer Alecu to strike the kick off in the second half. Vasile Babarada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Iorgovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Alexandru Enoiu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Remus Apostu. The goal made the score 0-3. STEAUA BUCURESTI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Valer Alecu scored to the left of an out of position Remus Apostu, making the score, 0-4. Valer Alecu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. PeanutNetwork's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 66th minute, Valer Alecu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Remus Apostu. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 70th minute Alexandru Enoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Apostu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Alecu in the 71st minute of play forced STEAUA BUCURESTI's goalkeeper Remus Apostu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alexandru Enoiu came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the PeanutNetwork fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandru Enoiu couldn't finish the play. When Alexandru Enoiu fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Remus Apostu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Agrigoroaiei in the 87th minute of the match. Tudor Iosif made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by PeanutNetwork's Alexandru Petculescu. Valer Alecu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Apostu having to interfere. Remus Apostu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Enoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Valer Alecu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PeanutNetwork played a much better game than STEAUA BUCURESTI and deserved their victory. The STEAUA BUCURESTI players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
