In the 5th minute, Cazimir Ghimpu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Alex Iorgovan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STEAUA BUCURESTI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CS Carp eDiem the free kick. The supporters of CS Carp eDiem booed when STEAUA BUCURESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Iorgovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Aurel Geoană reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Remus Apostu. The goal made the score 1-0. Valeriu Chirițescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Coposu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Latarețu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Aurel Geoană scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remus Apostu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Augustin Alexandrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Remus Apostu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augustin Alexandrescu struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Remus Apostu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CS Carp eDiem. If Aurel Geoană had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remus Apostu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augustin Alexandrescu in the 37th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as CS Carp eDiem's Aurel Geoană slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Remus Apostu. That made the score 3-0 after 38 minutes of play. Valeriu Chirițescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Coposu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind CS Carp eDiem's goalkeeper Valeriu Chirițescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurel Geoană stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ferdinand Bejan thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Remus Apostu, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 4-0. If Augustin Alexandrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CS Carp eDiem's Valeriu Chirițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihăiţă Coposu in the 58th minute of play. When Mihăiţă Coposu came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the STEAUA BUCURESTI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihăiţă Coposu couldn't finish the play. Alex Iorgovan kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Remus Apostu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Geoană in the 70th minute of the match. STEAUA BUCURESTI's Alex Iorgovan got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Alex Iorgovan off the ground. The supporters of CS Carp eDiem booed when STEAUA BUCURESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Iorgovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Silviu Teodoroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The STEAUA BUCURESTI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remus Apostu should have stopped the shot. When Mihăiţă Coposu fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored STEAUA BUCURESTI's protests and gave Mihăiţă Coposu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Mihăiţă Coposu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorel Finteșteanu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aurel Geoană sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CS Carp eDiem were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of STEAUA BUCURESTI for a fine match.
