Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 7 minutes, Albert Ciuvică mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varleni and the Ampoita players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albert Ciuvică kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ampoita's Dacian Postolache got a free kick in the 17th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Rareș Berechet took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Claudiu Luțu to make any attempt to save it. Rareș Berechet took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudiu Luțu. Claudiu Luțu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Claudiu Luțu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rareș Berechet's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Varleni's Ciprian Alexandrescu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Mircea Drăghici kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Marian Blidaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Panait Pască tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Varleni's Daniel Boc got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Dacian Postolache was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ampoita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varleni the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ampoita's Dacian Postolache got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Rareș Berechet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudiu Luțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Berechet in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Cristi Lupșoiu scored 4-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudiu Luțu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Rareș Berechet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Buciuman hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Panait Pască made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Albert Ciuvică sent off a good shot on target. Claudiu Luțu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rareș Berechet went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Marian Buciuman hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Claudiu Luțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Lupșoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th match minute, Varleni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Drăghici to maneuver through the defense. Panait Pască made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Albert Ciuvică sent off a good shot on target. Aurelian Martinaș's late challenge caught a Varleni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelian Martinaș helped the player get up and apologised. Claudiu Luțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Berechet in the 85th minute of play. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Cristi Lupșoiu sped through Varleni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudiu Luțu. In the 91st minute Rareș Berechet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Luțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Cristi Lupșoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ampoita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristi Lupșoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Marian Blidaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varleni's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Blidaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panait Pască breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, Varleni's goal looked a bit too open when Rareș Berechet came free, but Claudiu Luțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ampoita's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
