FC Timisoara's Aristide Armeanca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Simion in the 13th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Timisoara! FC Timisoara:s Aristide Armeanca showed great skill when he stopped Sebastian Cârnu:s penalty. When Cezar Jienescu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. Aristide Armeanca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gloria Marasesti. In the 28th minute, Gigi Aaxiniei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Timisoara's Manole Ceaușu got a free kick in the 30th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Romeo Simion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Gloria Marasesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Simion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gheorghe Zogreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Aristide Armeanca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Romeo Simion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristide Armeanca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Zogreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rdth minute of the game Gheorghe Zogreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Timisoara's Aristide Armeanca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aristide Armeanca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Simion in the 45th minute of the match. Valeriu Blăniță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valeriu Blăniță was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, FC Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Ghișe came free, but Aristide Armeanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match Sebastian Cârnu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aristide Armeanca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. FC Gloria Marasesti's Constantin Ghișe pulled a muscle in his leg after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 60th minute, Manole Ceaușu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FC Timisoara's Aristide Armeanca got control of the ball when Gheorghe Zogreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gheorghe Zogreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Aurelian Agrigoroaiei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Blăniță in the 70th minute of play. Aurelian Agrigoroaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Blăniță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When FC Timisoara's Valeriu Blăniță in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 95th match minute, FC Gloria Marasesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Pătrașcu to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Timisoara fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Gloria Marasesti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
