After a defensive mix-up in rupe's zone, Horea Apostol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Mortu came out of the goal and Horea Apostol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horea Apostol struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Liviu Mortu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carsisu. Lucrețiu Roşca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dragoş Blaj having to make a save. Dragoş Blaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Roşca in the 28th minute of play. Horea Apostol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Mortu having to interfere. Liviu Mortu came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Carsisu's Manuel Secară. But to his dismay, Manuel Secară quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Liviu Mortu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Apostol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liviu Mortu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Apostol in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Sandu Baniu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. rupe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carsisu the free kick. In the 46th minute, Sandu Baniu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Horea Apostol got free with Liviu Mortu in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sandu Baniu was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 55th minute, Sandu Baniu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Carsisu's Liviu Obregia tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. rupe's Liviu Mortu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save rupe from getting a goal against them. If Horea Apostol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liviu Mortu made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Manuel Secară sent off a good shot on target. After 84 played minutes Carsisu got a freekick which was hit by Aron Valerian. With a little luck, rupe's Liviu Mortu got control of the ball when Horea Apostol tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Secară in the 88th minute of play forced rupe's goalkeeper Liviu Mortu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Manuel Secară had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Secară in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Liviu Mortu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 96 played minutes rupe got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Hodorog. Manuel Secară received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Liviu Mortu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Carsisu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than rupe.
