Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Narcis Ogică started the match with the kick off. Stelian Drâmbă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Ogică, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, Marius Arnăuțoiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC AMA BUZAU fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The attack was good, but when Claudiu Sălcudeanu in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Stelian Drâmbă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Ogică in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Ogică in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stelian Drâmbă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With splendid footwork Marius Arnăuțoiu arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 18th minute. After 20 played minutes AFC AMA BUZAU got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Costescu. Ivan Nicolescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stelian Drâmbă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Remus Neguțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Marius Arnăuțoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC AMA BUZAU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marius Arnăuțoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stelian Drâmbă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Ogică in the 29th minute of the match. When Marius Arnăuțoiu came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the AFC AMA BUZAU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marius Arnăuțoiu couldn't finish the play. Claudiu Sălcudeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stelian Drâmbă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narcis Ogică went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Stelian Drâmbă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Nicolescu in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marius Arnăuțoiu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Codruț Costescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Sălcudeanu in the 53rd minute of play forced AFC AMA BUZAU's goalkeeper Stelian Drâmbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Marius Tudose was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sacaseni CSM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC AMA BUZAU the free kick. In the 54th minute, Marius Tudose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sever Paulescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octav Banu went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Narcis Ogică could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Stelian Drâmbă made a huge save. Stelian Drâmbă was a little too slow when Cătălin Bogdan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 3-2. After 71 played minutes AFC AMA BUZAU got a freekick which was hit by Mihail Muncelean. In the 73rd minute Claudiu Sălcudeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Drâmbă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFC AMA BUZAU's Stelian Drâmbă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Nicolescu in the 74th minute of play. With his leg Stelian Drâmbă managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Sacaseni CSM's Narcis Ogică fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 81 minutes into the game, AFC AMA BUZAU's Marius Arnăuțoiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sever Paulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Narcis Ogică got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Mihail Muncelean fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC AMA BUZAU's protests and gave Mihail Muncelean a yellow card for diving instead. Mihail Muncelean hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The AFC AMA BUZAU players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
