Viorel Aluneanu started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Pătrășconiu in the 5th minute of play forced Scheia's goalkeeper Ernest Mortu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scheia's Victor Curăreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernest Mortu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Pătrășconiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Octavian Nica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ovidiu Tăgorean fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scheia's protests and gave Ovidiu Tăgorean a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Supreme booed when Scheia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Tăgorean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scheia's Ernest Mortu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Pătrășconiu in the 22nd minute of play. The Scheia fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Scheia's Viorel Aluneanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Scheia. Matei Oprea stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgar Milcu. 0-2. Victor Curăreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Milcu having to interfere. Supreme's Edgar Milcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Aluneanu in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Scheia's Calistrat Mălăncioiu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Calistrat Mălăncioiu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Scheia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Calistrat Mălăncioiu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Supreme's Mugurel Irimescu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ernest Mortu. Scheia's Viorel Aluneanu got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marian Pătrășconiu made a kick off. Avram Zăvoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudiu Mascovescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernest Mortu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Mascovescu in the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Marian Pătrășconiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilian Albeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernest Mortu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Pătrășconiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Supreme's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Aluneanu came free, but Edgar Milcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Viorel Aluneanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Milcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes of play, Supreme's Claudiu Mascovescu made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernest Mortu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marian Pătrășconiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ernest Mortu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Supreme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustin Mihăilescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute Claudiu Mascovescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Mortu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernest Mortu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Albeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Iustin Mihăilescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Supreme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scheia the free kick. A collision led to Supreme getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Iustin Mihăilescu hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
