If Cazimir Sârbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 played minutes Hotin got a freekick which was hit by Valer Erbașu. Nistor Iorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ioan Petrică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cazimir Sârbu struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Ionică Socoriceanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SF Inter Milan. Octav Lazăr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Petrică having to interfere. Octav Lazăr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Sergiu Povară got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihail Daimacă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cazimir Sârbu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Viorel Cangeopol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nistor Iorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SF Inter Milan! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nistor Iorga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Hotin's Valer Erbașu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ioan Petrică. That made the score 0-1 after 51 minutes of play. Octav Lazăr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hotin's Nistor Iorga got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nistor Iorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Sârbu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionică Socoriceanu having to interfere. Ionică Socoriceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Daimacă in the 72nd minute of play. Eliodor Filipoiu's late challenge caught a Hotin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliodor Filipoiu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SF Inter Milan getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Eliodor Filipoiu hit a great ball. Ioan Petrică didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Hotin's Octav Lazăr shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 79th minute Mihail Daimacă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Socoriceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Cazimir Sârbu managed to get in a good position for a shot. The SF Inter Milan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hotin were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
