The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Olariu made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Young Boys's Emanuel Olariu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ioan Petrică narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Young Boys's Sorin Porumboiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 80th minute, Emanuel Olariu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ioan Petrică was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Cazimir Sârbu scored 4-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adrian Honcioiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Sorin Porumboiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Young Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Porumboiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ioan Petrică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sorin Porumboiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ioan Petrică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Young Boys were the better team. Young Boys's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
