Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mircea Boeru in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Vârlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Vârlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Alb, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Marcel Vârlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Boeru in the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Codrin Trăilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. SS Castrum Deva's supporters rose to their feet, but Codrin Trăilă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liviu Izvoranu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Isac Lupșe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mircea Boeru to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcel Vârlan made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Moise Alb sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SS Castrum Deva getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Isac Lupșe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Gavrilă in the 58th minute of play forced SS Castrum Deva's goalkeeper Marcel Vârlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Moise Alb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codrin Trăilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Liviu Izvoranu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, SS Castrum Deva's Codrin Trăilă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liviu Izvoranu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of STEJARU 2011 booed when SS Castrum Deva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petruț Anisie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcu Perișoară's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liviu Izvoranu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 89th minute, Marcu Perișoară made a precise shot to the right of Liviu Izvoranu. STEJARU 2011's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Marcu Perișoară fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Izvoranu having to interfere. STEJARU 2011 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SS Castrum Deva had controlled the match.
