Cristian Mirea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Pavel Dică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barcelona 1899's goalkeeper Pavel Dică, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petrică Pacuraru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Blănaru kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Radu Melinescu charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radu Melinescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Cristi Drăghincescu, was totally fooled by FC Barcelona 1899's Claudiu Simionică, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Marius Cristea struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Cristi Drăghincescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona 1899. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marius Cristea got free with Cristi Drăghincescu in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radu Tătăruşanu to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucian Tănăsescu during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucian Aristide kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Radu Tătăruşanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, COPACABANA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Mirea to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Cristian Mirea managed to get in a good position for a shot. COPACABANA's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Mirea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Dică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 80 played minutes FC Barcelona 1899 got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Vergulescu. Petrică Pacuraru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Pavel Dică made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Marius Cristea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Barcelona 1899 booed when COPACABANA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Argăseală didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, COPACABANA's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Cristea came free, but Cristi Drăghincescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristi Drăghincescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Tătăruşanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the COPACABANA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
