The supporters of Rapiduletu booed when FC Barcelona 1899 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Vergulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC Barcelona 1899 getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Horea Tătaru hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Rapiduletu's George Furdui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavel Dică narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rapiduletu's Adrian Vasilescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Tătăruşanu in the 35th minute of play. Radu Tătăruşanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Vasilescu having to interfere. With a little luck, Rapiduletu's Adrian Vasilescu got control of the ball when Marius Cristea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrian Vasilescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Tătăruşanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Radu Tătăruşanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Horea Tătaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rapiduletu's George Furdui got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Eliodor Ciobanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pavel Dică was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Eliodor Ciobanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Vasilescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Tătăruşanu in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Rapiduletu getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Adrian Georgescu hit a great ball. Adrian Vasilescu came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona 1899's Marius Cristea. But to his dismay, Marius Cristea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Eliodor Ciobanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Melinescu during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rapiduletu's Gabriel Melinescu got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 89 played minutes FC Barcelona 1899 got a freekick which was hit by Horea Tătaru. If Marius Cristea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC Barcelona 1899 players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
