When Moise Bălace came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Varati FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moise Bălace couldn't finish the play. Moise Bălace spun around in front of the goal 23 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC YoUnG BoYs's goal. After some careless play in the FC YoUnG BoYs defense, Sandu Tadici kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Iancu. The FC YoUnG BoYs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Iancu should have stopped the shot. After 30 played minutes FC YoUnG BoYs got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Avramescu. Emanuel Iancu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moise Bălace's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 36 played minutes FC YoUnG BoYs got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Buhuș. In the 38th minute of the match Varati FC got a corner. FC YoUnG BoYs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicolae Gorjanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Moise Bălace succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Răzvan Mateescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC YoUnG BoYs's Emanuel Iancu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moise Bălace in the 60th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Varati FC's Emanuel Iancu threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moise Bălace, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Moise Bălace's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Iancu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, FC YoUnG BoYs's Răzvan Mateescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marin Minulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Sandu Tadici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
