Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Steaua Bucuresti's Nechifor Brumă started the match with a crisp pass. Emanuel Iancu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nechifor Brumă in the 8th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florin Baniu got free with Emanuel Iancu in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adrian Surdu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Buhuș, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Emanuel Iancu was a little too slow when Nechifor Brumă got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Paul Sandu spun around in front of the goal 29 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Steaua Bucuresti's goal. Paul Sandu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Surdu having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC YoUnG BoYs's goalkeeper Emanuel Iancu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrian Surdu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paul Sandu's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Mateescu in the 45th minute of play forced FC Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Adrian Surdu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florin Baniu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Emanuel Iancu made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Răzvan Mateescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Nechifor Brumă might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Iancu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nechifor Brumă ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ciprian Răuțchi fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Steaua Bucuresti's protests and gave Ciprian Răuțchi a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes FC Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Răuțchi. FC Steaua Bucuresti's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
