Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eusebiu Manciulea started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Nicolae Gorjanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Beclenut's Eusebiu Manciulea in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varati FC's goalie prevented a goal. Beclenut's Sergiu Măguran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moise Bălace in the 13th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Beclenut's goalkeeper Sergiu Măguran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandu Tadici. Nicodim Cernea charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicodim Cernea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Beclenut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicodim Cernea to maneuver through the defense. Beclenut's Eusebiu Manciulea got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Nicodim Cernea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Moise Bălace's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergiu Măguran was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Sergiu Măguran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Tadici in the 43rd minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Eusebiu Manciulea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varati FC's Marin Minulescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sandu Tadici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sergiu Măguran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moise Bălace was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Sandu Tadici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Măguran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Varati FC fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Varati FC's Moise Bălace looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 59th minute Moise Bălace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Măguran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandu Tadici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergiu Măguran having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Varati FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Pacuraru. The audience was convinced that Sandu Tadici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergiu Măguran was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Varati FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Manciulea came free, but Marin Minulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Beclenut's goal looked a bit too open when Moise Bălace came free, but Sergiu Măguran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergiu Măguran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Tadici in the 75th minute of play. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Beclenut! Nicolae Gorjanu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Bălace in the 80th minute of play forced Beclenut's goalkeeper Sergiu Măguran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandu Tadici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergiu Măguran having to interfere. If Sandu Tadici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moise Bălace in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergiu Măguran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd minute, Eusebiu Manciulea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
