With a little luck, Varati FC's Marin Minulescu got control of the ball when Octav Zglobiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Varati FC's Sandu Tadici got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Bălace in the 19th minute of play forced FC CJArena's goalkeeper Anton Șeitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Moise Bălace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute, Sandu Tadici made a precise shot to the right of Anton Șeitan. FC CJArena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Anton Șeitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Tadici, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Moise Bălace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Varati FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Tadici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Varati FC's Sandu Tadici sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anton Șeitan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Nicu Groza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC CJArena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varati FC the free kick. A collision led to FC CJArena getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nicu Groza hit a great ball. Flavius Cocoș hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Varati FC's Nicolae Gorjanu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC CJArena. In the 47th minute, Aurelian Pacuraru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihăiţă Colceriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, Varati FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Moșanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Moise Bălace reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anton Șeitan. The goal made the score 1-4. Moise Bălace's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Șeitan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC CJArena's zone, Moise Bălace stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Șeitan came out of the goal and Moise Bălace tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandu Tadici received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anton Șeitan came out and tried to block the shot, but Sandu Tadici slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 63rd minute. Anton Șeitan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Tadici in the 69th minute. Moise Bălace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Șeitan having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihăiţă Colceriu couldn't finish the play. If Sandu Tadici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Anton Șeitan managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Varati FC's Sandu Tadici fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Moise Bălace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavius Cocoș's late challenge caught a Varati FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavius Cocoș helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, FC CJArena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavius Cocoș to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Sandu Tadici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varati FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Tadici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
