Codruț Busuioc's late challenge caught a UFC Nistru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panait Melinescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 80 minutes into the match, Vinata SC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Vârnav came free, but Panait Melinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Vinata SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codruț Busuioc to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ernest Zogreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC Nistru's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Zogreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panait Melinescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
