Eusebiu Cozmâncă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Iurie Drăgănoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Latarețu kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Drăgănoiu in the 16th minute of play forced Marceni CSM's goalkeeper Isac Albescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Nistorescu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iurie Drăgănoiu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isac Albescu saved Marceni CSM from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Iurie Drăgănoiu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Isac Albescu. Vasile Vladimirescu's late challenge caught a FC Policub Ghiroda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasile Vladimirescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Marceni CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Vladimirescu to maneuver through the defense. Isac Albescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebiu Cozmâncă's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Alex Gârneață kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Eusebiu Cozmâncă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, FC Policub Ghiroda's goalkeeper Emil Ipate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudiu Ciupe. When Claudiu Ciupe came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Marceni CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Ciupe couldn't finish the play. If Claudiu Ciupe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Toader Ciorobîtcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, FC Policub Ghiroda's goal looked a bit too open when Toader Ciorobîtcă came free, but Emil Ipate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

After 52 played minutes FC Policub Ghiroda got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Guguianu. Emil Ipate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toader Ciorobîtcă's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Toader Ciorobîtcă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emil Ipate was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Toader Ciorobîtcă took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emil Ipate. Emil Ipate dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. FC Policub Ghiroda's Eusebiu Cozmâncă got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Claudiu Ciupe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marceni CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudiu Ciupe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Ipate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Iurie Drăgănoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Policub Ghiroda's supporters rose to their feet, but Iurie Drăgănoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isac Albescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Policub Ghiroda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! After 85 played minutes Marceni CSM got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Latarețu. The free kick resulted in a very good chance to score when Iurie Drăgănoiu kicked a really tricky shot on goal. Isac Albescu never had to step in, however, because the ball went just left of the goal. If Claudiu Ciupe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toader Ciorobîtcă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Emil Ipate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Policub Ghiroda's Emil Ipate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toader Ciorobîtcă in the 95th minute of play.
