Old Boys's Mihail Magheran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Bernea in the 7th minute of play. Adam Iovanovici might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vintilă Ţintă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adam Iovanovici ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernest Bernea struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Mihail Magheran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prundu United. After 16 played minutes Prundu United got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Olteanu. 17 minutes in the game, Adam Iovanovici dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Mihail Magheran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Bernea in the 19th minute of the match. Ernest Bernea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Old Boys's zone, Marian Manciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihail Magheran came out of the goal and Marian Manciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Prundu United's Sorin Onișoru got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Iovanovici in the 28th minute of play forced Prundu United's goalkeeper Vintilă Ţintă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vintilă Ţintă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcu Becheanu in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Iovanovici in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vintilă Ţintă saved Prundu United from getting behind. Marcu Becheanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Vintilă Ţintă made a huge save. If Marcu Becheanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Iovanovici blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vintilă Ţintă having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernest Bernea made a kick off. Ernest Bernea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Ernest Bernea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihail Magheran. The goal made the score 1-2. When Ernest Bernea came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Prundu United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Bernea couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Ioneasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Prundu United getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Corneliu Senin hit a great ball.
