Riccardo Monney hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Horia Grama dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adam Huștea, 1-1. Adam Huștea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Panciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, UNIREA TRICOLOR's goalkeeper Adam Huștea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horia Grama. 33 minutes into the game, Horia Grama cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Adam Huștea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Martin Corbuț charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Corbuț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Corbuț hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebiu Scripcaru in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcu Cucerzan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Adam Huștea managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when CFR Cluj's Horia Grama fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Riccardo Monney hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alexandru Panciu made the kick off in the second half. Adam Huștea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Grama in the 53rd minute of play. When CFR Cluj's Alexandru Panciu in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. CFR Cluj's Alexandru Panciu got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. UNIREA TRICOLOR's Adam Huștea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Grama in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Costică Avram hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcu Cucerzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Scripcaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 90 minutes into the game, CFR Cluj's Alexandru Panciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Huștea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Horia Grama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Adam Huștea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, CFR Cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Corbuț to maneuver through the defense. CFR Cluj succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though UNIREA TRICOLOR had controlled the match.
