Francisc Niță charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Niță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Cornel Dulfu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viltotesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cristian Pomuț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Grigore, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Petre Scorţea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Eliodor Tecău tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Loga during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Romeo Loga hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ştefan Grigore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viltotesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ştefan Grigore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Pomuț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Pomuț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Grigore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Jdeica in the 26th minute of play forced Arcalia's goalkeeper Cristian Pomuț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Arcalia getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petre Scorţea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rareș Petruț hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, Teodor Corbea notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Viltotesti's Eliodor Tecău. Eliodor Tecău was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 63 minutes, Petre Scorţea made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Eliodor Tecău tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arcalia's Teodor Corbea got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petre Scorţea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arcalia's Dan Daimacă got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Arcalia's Petre Scorţea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliodor Tecău narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Arcalia's zone, Ştefan Grigore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Pomuț came out of the goal and Ştefan Grigore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arcalia were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
