Vintilă Ţintă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, UNIREA TRICOLOR's Valer Cartiș dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Ernest Bernea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UNIREA TRICOLOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marian Manciu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vintilă Ţintă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Scripcaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Marian Manciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Huștea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UNIREA TRICOLOR's Adam Huștea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Olteanu in the 34th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as UNIREA TRICOLOR's Eusebiu Scripcaru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vintilă Ţintă. That made the score 2-1 after 37 minutes of play. Adam Huștea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Bernea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebiu Scripcaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vintilă Ţintă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebiu Scripcaru ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the game, Prundu United's Marian Manciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Huștea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusebiu Scripcaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Valer Cartiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Ţintă having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Eusebiu Scripcaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Manciu got free with Adam Huștea in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebiu Scripcaru in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vintilă Ţintă saved Prundu United from getting behind. Vintilă Ţintă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebiu Scripcaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Emanuel Ioneasa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Prundu United got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Olteanu. In the 91st minute Valer Cartiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Ţintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vintilă Ţintă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Scripcaru in the 94th minute of play. UNIREA TRICOLOR's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
