In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind UFC Panticesti's goalkeeper Irinel Robescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mugurel Amânaloae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UFC Panticesti's Irinel Robescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Vişoianu in the 19th minute of play. Irinel Robescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugurel Amânaloae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, UFC Panticesti's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Vişoianu came free, but Irinel Robescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Chinezu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihai Vişoianu in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irinel Robescu saved UFC Panticesti from getting behind. In the 30thth minute of the game Mugurel Amânaloae who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC Panticesti's Irinel Robescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augustin Avram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in UFC Panticesti's zone, Mihai Vişoianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irinel Robescu came out of the goal and Mihai Vişoianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Romeo Chinezu fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UFC Panticesti's protests and gave Romeo Chinezu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to UFC Panticesti getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Romeo Chinezu hit a great ball. Vali Ungheanu made a great header on Gainesti's corner, it was just that UFC Panticesti's Irinel Robescu managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Mugurel Amânaloae's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irinel Robescu was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Virgil Ionete hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Cosmin Gurgui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UFC Panticesti's Irinel Robescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save UFC Panticesti from getting a goal against them. Romeo Chinezu got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Romeo Chinezu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Irinel Robescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vali Ungheanu. Mugurel Amânaloae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Irinel Robescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihai Vişoianu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irinel Robescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. When Mugurel Amânaloae fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gainesti's protests and gave Mugurel Amânaloae a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th match minute, Gainesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugurel Amânaloae to maneuver through the defense. When Ovidiu Nițulescu fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gainesti's protests and gave Ovidiu Nițulescu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gainesti booed when UFC Panticesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Gurgui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gainesti's Mugurel Amânaloae got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mihai Vişoianu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Irinel Robescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
