Spectators: 6817 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 12) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Basarab Şuplăcan kicked off to start the match. Daniel Brăiloiu hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ferestrau's Romeo Şimonca got a free kick in the 4th minute. Ciprian Gorgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Valer Oloieru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Brăiloiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th match minute, Ferestrau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Şimonca to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the game, Ion Geoană was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferestrau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birda the free kick. After 13 played minutes Ferestrau got a freekick which was hit by Ion Geoană. Dorin Hurdubețiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Şuplăcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Romeo Şimonca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferestrau and the Birda players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ferestrau's Romeo Şimonca got a free kick in the 19th minute. Ferestrau's Valer Oloieru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Ferestrau from getting a goal against them. If Ciprian Gorgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filip Vasiliu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Ferestrau's Valer Oloieru got control of the ball when Ciprian Gorgan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Birda's goalkeeper Dorin Hurdubețiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucrețiu Marioteanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valer Oloieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Gorgan in the 59th minute of the match. Valer Oloieru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iustin Covaliu went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Marioteanu in the 65th minute of play forced Ferestrau's goalkeeper Valer Oloieru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basarab Şuplăcan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Dorin Hurdubețiu 70 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Birda's zone, Basarab Şuplăcan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorin Hurdubețiu came out of the goal and Basarab Şuplăcan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valer Oloieru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panait Visarion in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Eduard Păuceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Marioteanu in the 83rd minute of play forced Ferestrau's goalkeeper Valer Oloieru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valer Oloieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Gorgan in the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Ferestrau's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Marioteanu came free, but Valer Oloieru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Ciprian Gorgan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valer Oloieru was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 98th minute Lucrețiu Marioteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Oloieru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
