After a rather tough play, Birda's Panait Visarion got a free kick in the 29th minute. Dorin Hurdubețiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Hăulică in the 30th minute of play. Ciprian Gorgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corneliu Drogoreanu in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorin Hurdubețiu saved Birda from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corneliu Drogoreanu to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Gabriel Hăulică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Birda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Pânzaru to maneuver through the defense. If Corneliu Drogoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciprian Gorgan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match.
