After 15 minutes, Gigi Popan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moara Domneasca and the Cintulei players grew even worse after the yellow card. Francisc Gurlui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Ghișerel in the 16th minute of the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Mugurel Piț who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cintulei's Albert Arvinte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Cintulei's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Piț came free, but Albert Arvinte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sebastian Bungescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gelu Nica came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Cintulei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelu Nica couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Moara Domneasca's Mugurel Piț slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albert Arvinte. That made the score 1-1 after 72 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Mugurel Piț managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moara Domneasca's supporters rose to their feet, but Mugurel Piț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Arvinte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gigel Găvănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Gurlui having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cintulei had won after a very even match.
