The supporters of OTELUL GALATI booed when Dobrotu CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Remus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, OTELUL GALATI's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Butuc came free, but Horaţiu Butuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, OTELUL GALATI's Nae Curăreanu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When David Dragota came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Dobrotu CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Dragota couldn't finish the play. Marcu Ionescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute Emilian Butuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Butuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marcu Ionescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horaţiu Butuc was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Horaţiu Butuc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Butuc in the 44th minute of the match. Ciprian Macarie kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nae Curăreanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manole Cândroveanu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Iordache Grigoroiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OTELUL GALATI. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Horaţiu Butuc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcu Ionescu in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horaţiu Butuc saved OTELUL GALATI from getting behind. If David Dragota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Dobrotu CSS got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Remus. 67 minutes into the game, Nae Curăreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Iordache Grigoroiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Marcu Ionescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Emilian Butuc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dobrotu CSS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Dobrotu CSS's Marcu Ionescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 81st minute Aristide Remus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Butuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcu Ionescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Dobrotu CSS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. OTELUL GALATI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Iosif Cordescu scored to the left of an out of position Horaţiu Butuc, making the score, 3-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcu Ionescu in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horaţiu Butuc saved OTELUL GALATI from getting behind. The OTELUL GALATI fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dobrotu CSS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
