Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Cojasca's Eugen Piersic started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Callatis Mangalia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Neața to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the game, Eugen Piersic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Valer Glodeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valer Glodeanu stood somewhat misplaced when Eugen Piersic came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 14 minute. In the 18th minute of the match Callatis Mangalia FC got a corner. FC Cojasca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victor Lera ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Callatis Mangalia FC's corner Victor Lera fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Romeo Hălmăgeanu quite easily take care of the ball. If Claudiu Cartianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugen Piersic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mugurel Aplugăriței had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Callatis Mangalia FC's goalkeeper Valer Glodeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Piersic. In the 30th minute, Eusebiu Stejaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Hălmăgeanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugen Piersic got free with Valer Glodeanu in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eugen Piersic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Neața to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Martin Neața shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Hălmăgeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Hălmăgeanu was a little too slow when Eusebiu Stejaru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 2-2. After having played for 61 minutes, Eugen Piersic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Cojasca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Piersic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, FC Cojasca's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Neața came free, but Romeo Hălmăgeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valer Glodeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Aplugăriței in the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Callatis Mangalia FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sandu Bogătan was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Cojasca's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to FC Cojasca's Florin Calomfir getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugen Piersic in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valer Glodeanu saved Callatis Mangalia FC from getting behind. With a little luck, FC Cojasca's Romeo Hălmăgeanu got control of the ball when Eusebiu Stejaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eusebiu Stejaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Romeo Hălmăgeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes, FC Cojasca's Claudiu Cartianu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valer Glodeanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Cojasca reached it. When the final whistle went the supporters of Callatis Mangalia FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Cojasca side.
