After a rather tough play, OTELUL GALATI's Emilian Cînu got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of Forasti AC booed when OTELUL GALATI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Cînu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Băcila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Butuc having to interfere. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind OTELUL GALATI's goalkeeper Horaţiu Butuc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Forasti AC got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Irimescu. Flavius Brânzaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nae Curăreanu's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute Flavius Mitruț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Butuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Forasti AC's Flavius Mitruț nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. OTELUL GALATI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forasti AC the free kick. A collision led to OTELUL GALATI getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Emilian Cînu hit a great ball. OTELUL GALATI's Horaţiu Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Ciordaș in the 34th minute of play. Adrian Băcila scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horaţiu Butuc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Adrian Băcila notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of OTELUL GALATI's Horaţiu Butuc. Horaţiu Butuc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nae Curăreanu was the one to do the kick off.
