In the 3rd minute, Narcis Teodor made a precise shot to the right of Virgil Isaia. Dianul UFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Nae Curăreanu notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Dianul UFC's Virgil Isaia. Virgil Isaia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ciprian Bădulescu fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dianul UFC's protests and gave Ciprian Bădulescu a yellow card for diving instead. Nae Curăreanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgil Isaia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, OTELUL GALATI's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Barbu came free, but Horaţiu Butuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Emilian Cînu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OTELUL GALATI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dianul UFC the free kick. In the 34th match minute, OTELUL GALATI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Cînu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to OTELUL GALATI getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Manole Cândroveanu hit a great ball. Horaţiu Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Barbu in the 36th minute of play. Ciprian Pora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Horaţiu Butuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Manole Cândroveanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OTELUL GALATI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dianul UFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, OTELUL GALATI's Manole Cândroveanu got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Dianul UFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. OTELUL GALATI were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Traian Barbu was the one to do the kick off. Horaţiu Butuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciprian Pora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Barbu in the 58th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Ciprian Pora made a precise shot to the right of Horaţiu Butuc. OTELUL GALATI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Virgil Isaia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Curăreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ciprian Pora recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Ciprian Pora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Horaţiu Butuc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ciprian Pora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Nae Curăreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. OTELUL GALATI's supporters rose to their feet, but Nae Curăreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgil Isaia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. OTELUL GALATI's Horaţiu Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciprian Pora in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Dianul UFC had won after a very even match.
