In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's goalkeeper Marius Hortopan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rareș Vătavu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Becheanu charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Becheanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Doar Dinamo Bucuresti getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Manuel Becheanu hit a great ball. Nae Pavelescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Ghionescu having to make a save. Rivulus CF's Adam Ghionescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Pavelescu in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match, Emilian Bădilescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marius Hortopan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Nae Pavelescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gică Coroian charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gică Coroian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Doar Dinamo Bucuresti getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gică Coroian hit a great ball. Matei Tolea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marius Hortopan. Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Nae Pavelescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nae Pavelescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rivulus CF's Emilian Bădilescu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 44 minutes of play Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's Manuel Becheanu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Manuel Becheanu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Emilian Bădilescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marius Hortopan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Vătavu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rareș Vătavu to strike the kick off in the second half. Victor Stroici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marius Hortopan came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Rivulus CF's Rareș Vătavu. But to his dismay, Rareș Vătavu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 4-0 became the score in the 67th minute when Rareș Vătavu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Bădilescu in the 79th minute of play forced Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's goalkeeper Marius Hortopan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marius Hortopan came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Rivulus CF's Rareș Vătavu. But to his dismay, Rareș Vătavu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 86 minutes into the game, Rivulus CF's Rareș Vătavu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marius Hortopan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After some careless play in the Doar Dinamo Bucuresti defense, Rareș Vătavu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marius Hortopan. The Doar Dinamo Bucuresti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marius Hortopan should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rivulus CF had won after a very even match.
