The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, SEVEN NATION ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Pavelescu came free, but Dorin Murgoci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute Ovidiu Blănaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Hortopan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Stroici got free with Dorin Murgoci in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SEVEN NATION ARMY's Dorin Murgoci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save SEVEN NATION ARMY from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, Manuel Becheanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorin Murgoci. SEVEN NATION ARMY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Becheanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Gică Coroian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Dorin Murgoci made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, SEVEN NATION ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Coroian came free, but Dorin Murgoci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorin Murgoci came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's Nae Pavelescu. But to his dismay, Nae Pavelescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of SEVEN NATION ARMY booed when Doar Dinamo Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Coroian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Augustin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Marius Hortopan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marius Hortopan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Augustin in the 31st minute of the match. Dorin Murgoci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Pătrașcu in the 32nd minute of play. Victor Stroici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Dorin Murgoci made a huge save. If Iulian Robu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's zone, Emanuel Augustin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marius Hortopan came out of the goal and Emanuel Augustin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gică Coroian charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gică Coroian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's Gică Coroian got a free kick in the 44th minute. Nae Pavelescu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Iulian Robu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Hortopan having to interfere. Emanuel Augustin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marius Hortopan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iulian Robu had several of the Doar Dinamo Bucuresti's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Marius Hortopan as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Iulian Robu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Șerban Capșuneanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. SEVEN NATION ARMY's supporters rose to their feet, but Șerban Capșuneanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Hortopan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marius Hortopan made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Emanuel Augustin sent off a good shot on target. Șerban Capșuneanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marius Hortopan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Emanuel Augustin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, SEVEN NATION ARMY's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Pavelescu came free, but Dorin Murgoci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
