But to his dismay, Augustin Bejan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 27 minutes, Gavril Bogatu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CFR 1907 CLUJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavril Bogatu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Aurelian Petruț was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KONG FUZI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CFR 1907 CLUJ the free kick. In the 30th minute, Aurelian Petruț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Lunca in the 34th minute of play forced KONG FUZI FC's goalkeeper Horaţiu Maleș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KONG FUZI FC's zone, Emil Lunca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Maleș came out of the goal and Emil Lunca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the KONG FUZI FC defense, Gavril Bogatu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horaţiu Maleș. The KONG FUZI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Maleș should have stopped the shot. Emil Lunca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Maleș having to interfere. After 46 minutes KONG FUZI FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudiu Todericiu who took care of the corner kick. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doru Mitică to strike the kick off in the second half. Horaţiu Maleș was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emil Lunca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 56 minute of play. Horaţiu Maleș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doru Mitică in the 74th minute of the match. Dinu Sticlaru hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Dinu Sticlaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mădălin Jerca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Doru Mitică's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horaţiu Maleș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Doru Mitică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CFR 1907 CLUJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doru Mitică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
