The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rapid Bucuresti's Gheorghe Hurmuzescu got a free kick in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid Bucuresti's zone, Remus Arnăuțescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leontin Comșa came out of the goal and Remus Arnăuțescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gheorghe Lupeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Gura-Bustei getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Francisc Gurzău hit a great ball. Adam Bunoaică kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, FC Gura-Bustei's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Bunoaică came free, but Petre Prelipceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remus Arnăuțescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ioan Rada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leontin Comșa was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Rapid Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Filip Piț. Leontin Comșa came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gura-Bustei's Radu Dancu. But to his dismay, Radu Dancu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Paul Panțuru's late challenge caught a FC Gura-Bustei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Panțuru helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rapid Bucuresti's Paul Panțuru got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Leontin Comșa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Dancu in the 38th minute of play. Leontin Comșa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Dancu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper Leontin Comșa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remus Arnăuțescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Radu Dancu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Leontin Comșa made a huge save. Radu Dancu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leontin Comșa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Arnăuțescu in the 65th minute of play. Rareș Stoicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Prelipceanu having to interfere. Rareș Stoicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Petre Prelipceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Gura-Bustei's Petre Prelipceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Bunoaică in the 71st minute of play. Nae Marinică charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nae Marinică the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the game, one of FC Gura-Bustei:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Rapid Bucuresti's Filip Piț got a free kick in the 78th minute. Leontin Comșa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Arnăuțescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rareș Jugănaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Leontin Comșa made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Rapid Bucuresti's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Radu Dancu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 90th match minute, Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Meleșcanu to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Stelian Bosioc in the 91st minute really tested Leontin Comșa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Leontin Comșa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. With a little luck, Rapid Bucuresti's Leontin Comșa got control of the ball when Radu Dancu tried to sneak it across the goal line.
