In the 15th minute, Fabian Banu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavius Neculuță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Nichitelea in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, The Unity BvB 09's Dumitru Cârțan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florin Postolache narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Langenfeld CSS's goalkeeper Florin Postolache had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Cârțan. If Dumitru Cârțan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavius Neculuță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Nichitelea, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Langenfeld CSS's Fabian Banu in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Unity BvB 09's goalie prevented a goal. 33 minutes into the match, The Unity BvB 09's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Nichitelea came free, but Flavius Neculuță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumitru Cârțan got free with Florin Postolache in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dumitru Cârțan came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Florin Postolache could save by the left post. Fabian Banu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Flavius Neculuță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vali Nichitelea came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Langenfeld CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vali Nichitelea couldn't finish the play. Flavius Neculuță came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Langenfeld CSS's Vali Nichitelea. But to his dismay, Vali Nichitelea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alin Condescu made the kick off in the second half. Dumitru Cârțan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Postolache having to interfere. Vlad Toma kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alin Condescu in the 60th minute of play forced Langenfeld CSS's goalkeeper Florin Postolache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alin Condescu in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florin Postolache saved Langenfeld CSS from getting behind. After some careless play in the The Unity BvB 09 defense, Fabian Banu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavius Neculuță. The The Unity BvB 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavius Neculuță should have stopped the shot. When Costin Leluțiu fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Unity BvB 09's protests and gave Costin Leluțiu a yellow card for diving instead. Costin Leluțiu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The Unity BvB 09's Flavius Neculuță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Nichitelea in the 88th minute of play. Alin Condescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alin Condescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
