Spectators: 7352 (Terracing: 5515, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) Ferdinand Ecobescu made the kick off and thus started the match. Eugen Vârnav showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Agachi in the 2nd minute of the match. Eugen Vârnav made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Claudiu Lăcătușu sent off a good shot on target. In the 5th match minute, Latoi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Moiș to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Juverdeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Ecobescu in the 6th minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Francisc Agachi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mariuta's Eugen Vârnav was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Latoi getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Șerban Birișu hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Francisc Agachi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Vârnav saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Latoi booed when Mariuta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Iordănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Latoi's Răzvan Baștină tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Mariuta's Ferdinand Ecobescu in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Latoi's goalie prevented a goal. Ferdinand Ecobescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Latoi's Sebastian Juverdeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Ecobescu in the 27th minute of play. Octavian Morar kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Ecobescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sebastian Juverdeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sebastian Juverdeanu came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Mariuta's Iordache Dărmănescu. But to his dismay, Iordache Dărmănescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 47 minutes into the game, Claudiu Lăcătușu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Latoi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mariuta the free kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisc Agachi to make the kick off. Latoi's Sebastian Juverdeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Latoi from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the match, Mariuta's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Lăcătușu came free, but Eugen Vârnav reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Iordache Dărmănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute of the match, Ferdinand Ecobescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sebastian Juverdeanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Iordache Dărmănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sebastian Juverdeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iosif Bologa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Juverdeanu having to interfere. Sebastian Juverdeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ferdinand Ecobescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute.
