Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ferdinand Ecobescu made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Ferdinand Ecobescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariuta's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinand Ecobescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iacob Hârtopanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariuta's Ferdinand Ecobescu got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iacob Hârtopanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Ecobescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugen Vârnav didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octav Drăgoi went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Iordache Dărmănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Iacob Hârtopanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Luhei AS booed when Mariuta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Hoduț didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Luhei AS's Iacob Hârtopanu got control of the ball when Iordache Dărmănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ivan David came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Luhei AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan David couldn't finish the play. Ferdinand Ecobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iacob Hârtopanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Ecobescu in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Ferdinand Ecobescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Luhei AS's Iacob Hârtopanu got control of the ball when Iordache Dărmănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Bara hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Mariuta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silviu Negulescu in the 47th minute. A nice corner shot did that Silviu Negulescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iacob Hârtopanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octav Drăgoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucrețiu Hoduț got his second yellow card in the match during the 50th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Mariuta getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Lucrețiu Hoduț hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Mariuta defense, Octav Drăgoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugen Vârnav. The Mariuta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugen Vârnav should have stopped the shot. Iosif Iordănescu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When Iosif Iordănescu fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mariuta's protests and gave Iosif Iordănescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Mariuta got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Iordănescu. The supporters of Luhei AS booed when Mariuta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Ghimpu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luhei AS's Leontin Gorjanu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mariuta. Iordache Dărmănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iordache Dărmănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute, Ivan David got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iacob Hârtopanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordache Dărmănescu in the 86th minute of play. Iordache Dărmănescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iacob Hârtopanu having to make a save. Iordache Dărmănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luhei AS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mariuta's much stronger midfield.
