Ferdinand Ecobescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Ferdinand Ecobescu took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Florin Postolache to make any attempt to save it. When Iordache Dărmănescu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Mariuta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iordache Dărmănescu couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ferdinand Ecobescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariuta's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinand Ecobescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florin Postolache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferdinand Ecobescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florin Postolache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Fabian Banu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eugen Vârnav tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute of the match Silviu Negulescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florin Postolache skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute, Ferdinand Ecobescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
