Călin Bădoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Ţurlău, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. FC Fortuna's Basarab Mihăescu got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Răzvan Todoran fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cufoaia FC's protests and gave Răzvan Todoran a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Fortuna booed when Cufoaia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Todoran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Cristi Apostolescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Cotoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. FC Fortuna walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
