Tudor Şantău hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Mugur Murgoci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savirsin's supporters rose to their feet, but Mugur Murgoci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vali Gârleanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vali Gârleanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Stana, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ionică Obreja's late challenge caught a Savirsin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gheorghe Stana was the one to do the kick off. After 74 minutes, Victor Crișan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savirsin and the Păsări Roșii players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Savirsin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Păsări Roșii had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
