Emil Mandache fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 6th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Filip Buzoianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gică Dăscălescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ionuț Bercea might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gică Dăscălescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionuț Bercea ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Stellar Warriors C.F. booed when F.C. Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Caloian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Chiru kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as F.C. Gunners's Filip Buzoianu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gică Dăscălescu. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Paul Geamănu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 minutes, Traian Caloian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Gunners and the Stellar Warriors C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Traian Caloian kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Stellar Warriors C.F.'s Liviu Sucigan got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Gunners's zone, Liviu Sucigan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliodor Varga came out of the goal and Liviu Sucigan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to F.C. Gunners getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Traian Caloian hit a great ball. Sever Donecea, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ionuț Bercea to make the kick off. A collision led to Stellar Warriors C.F. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Liviu Sucigan hit a great ball. Ionuț Bercea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gică Dăscălescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ionuț Bercea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Liviu Sucigan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Cerchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliodor Varga having to interfere. Ionuț Bercea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Dăscălescu having to interfere. If Liviu Sucigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, F.C. Gunners could leave the field as winners, despite Stellar Warriors C.F. having more of the ball for most of the match.
