The supporters of Juventus-Cj booed when Deportivo La Coruna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Musceleanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codruț Griguță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Juventus-Cj getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Valentin Meleșcanu hit a great ball. Eduard Alucais short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Ernest Pârvuță to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Horea Pârlog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Horea Pârlog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Pârvuță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo La Coruna's goalkeeper Ernest Pârvuță, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Manuel Turbatu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduard Alucai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horea Pârlog in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernest Pârvuță prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Panait Poplăcean's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Pârvuță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 73 played minutes Deportivo La Coruna got a freekick which was hit by Codruț Griguță. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horea Pârlog in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernest Pârvuță prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernest Pârvuță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Pârlog, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Eduard Alucai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ernest Pârvuță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Juventus-Cj defense, Panait Poplăcean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugen Pârvuță. The Juventus-Cj fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugen Pârvuță should have stopped the shot. Panait Poplăcean struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Eugen Pârvuță didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo La Coruna. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Deportivo La Coruna eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
