In the 4th minute, Gavril Ştef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 14 played minutes Păsări Roșii got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Jurcuț. Păsări Roșii's Vali Gârleanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Bojin in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Cristi Chindriș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute Gavril Ştef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vali Gârleanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narcis Bojin in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vali Gârleanu saved Păsări Roșii from getting behind. Fabian Enoaia hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Cristi Chindriș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicu Baldovin was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavril Ştef was the one to do the kick off. Păsări Roșii's Vali Gârleanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Păsări Roșii from getting a goal against them. Vali Gârleanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Ştef, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Chindriș in the 78th minute of play forced Dragoiasa's goalkeeper Nicu Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Păsări Roșii's Vali Gârleanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Ştef in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Costin Găvănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragoiasa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Păsări Roșii the free kick. After 83 played minutes Dragoiasa got a freekick which was hit by Costin Găvănescu. After having played for 84 minutes, Doru Donecea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Păsări Roșii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doru Donecea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Dragoiasa's Gavril Ştef ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vali Gârleanu. Vali Gârleanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Narcis Bojin might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vali Gârleanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narcis Bojin ran back to his position shaking his head. Dragoiasa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
