Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ioan Stolniceanu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Emilian Prunaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Stolniceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxim Hurmuzescu struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Vlad Ştefănoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Somuzul Fălticeni. Ioan Stolniceanus short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Emilian Prunaru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 8 minutes, Leontin Vişoianu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Somuzul Fălticeni and the Batcari players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Martin Chițes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dragoş Pavalescu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Panait Nițescu's late challenge caught a Batcari's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panait Nițescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Somuzul Fălticeni's Panait Nițescu got a free kick in the 20th minute. Batcari's Irinel Mincă couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Somuzul Fălticeni. In the 22ndth minute of the game Ioan Stolniceanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Somuzul Fălticeni's Emilian Prunaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Dragoş Pavalescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Ştefănoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxim Hurmuzescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Ştefănoiu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Hurmuzescu in the 32nd minute of play forced Batcari's goalkeeper Vlad Ştefănoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilian Prunaru was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eusebiu Miroiu. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maxim Hurmuzescu made a kick off. Vlad Ştefănoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Vişoianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Ioan Stolniceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilian Prunaru was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Batcari's zone, Dragoş Pavalescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vlad Ştefănoiu came out of the goal and Dragoş Pavalescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the game, Maxim Hurmuzescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Somuzul Fălticeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batcari the free kick. In the 62nd match minute, Somuzul Fălticeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxim Hurmuzescu to maneuver through the defense. Emilian Prunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Stolniceanu in the 66th minute of play. When Cornel Hrean came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Batcari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornel Hrean couldn't finish the play. After 72 played minutes Batcari got a freekick which was hit by Cornel Hrean. The audience was convinced that Ioan Stolniceanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilian Prunaru was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Ioan Stolniceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Somuzul Fălticeni getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Leontin Vişoianu hit a great ball. Maxim Hurmuzescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
