The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Doru Donecea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Teodor Vasilian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tudor Şantău charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tudor Şantău the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hunters 2004 booed when Păsări Roșii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tudor Şantău didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sever Berceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doru Donecea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Vasilian having to interfere. Cristi Chindriș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Vasilian having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hunters 2004's goalkeeper Teodor Vasilian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petre Buricea charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petre Buricea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Hunters 2004 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Buricea to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Păsări Roșii's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Frunză came free, but Vali Gârleanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciprian Tarcea hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Fabian Enoaia's late challenge caught a Hunters 2004's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Enoaia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Păsări Roșii getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Fabian Enoaia hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Păsări Roșii's zone, Sever Berceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Gârleanu came out of the goal and Sever Berceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sever Berceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vali Gârleanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Frunză, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Emil Frunză had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Frunză sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Păsări Roșii's Cristi Chindriș nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodor Vasilian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half Păsări Roșii were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emil Frunză stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Doru Donecea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vali Gârleanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Chiru in the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Păsări Roșii's zone, Sever Berceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Gârleanu came out of the goal and Sever Berceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Păsări Roșii's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Berceanu came free, but Vali Gârleanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sever Berceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Berceanu in the 85th minute of play forced Păsări Roșii's goalkeeper Vali Gârleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Emil Frunză had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Valentin Jurcuț was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Păsări Roșii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hunters 2004 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Păsări Roșii's Tudor Şantău got a free kick in the 91st minute. Vali Gârleanu came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hunters 2004's Sever Berceanu. But to his dismay, Sever Berceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Păsări Roșii played a much better game than Hunters 2004 and deserved their victory. The Hunters 2004 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
