Cernatesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STEAUA SIGHET the free kick. If Dan Lăceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Lăceanu couldn't finish the play. Iacob Aldea was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Cernatesti getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Iacob Aldea hit a great ball. Marian Ogică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Iurie Neicu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marian Ogică came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Cernatesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Ogică couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Sandu Aldescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After a defensive mix-up in Cernatesti's zone, Sandu Aldescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Gafița came out of the goal and Sandu Aldescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Cernatesti players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
