But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niculae Dobrotă couldn't finish the play. Marcu Coșeriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moise Codin scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Dragotescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manuel Dragotescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Codin in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Hotarel FC booed when Fc Rătești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Butuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moise Codin came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Fc Rătești fans jumped to their feet. Eugen Mihăileanu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Niculae Dobrotă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Pandele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Moise Codin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Dragotescu. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. If Moise Codin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcu Coșeriu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Manuel Dragotescu came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Rătești's Moise Codin. But to his dismay, Moise Codin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 56 minutes into the game, Iustinian Gheorghiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Rătești's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hotarel FC the free kick. Iustinian Gheorghiu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The Fc Rătești fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Fc Rătești's Marcu Coșeriu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Moise Codin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fc Rătești fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Fc Rătești's Moise Codin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fc Rătești's Moise Codin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Dragotescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Coșeriu in the 81st minute of play. Manuel Dragotescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moise Codin's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Lucian Rotariu's late challenge caught a Fc Rătești's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucian Rotariu helped the player get up and apologised. Lucian Rotariu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Marcu Coșeriu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Marcu Coșeriu put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Dragotescu. Moise Codin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fc Rătești had played much better football throughout.
