Iulian Goga struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Marcu Onișoru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bloaja. In the 10th match minute, Popteleac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiu Cercelescu to maneuver through the defense. Martin Trandafir made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Iulian Goga however managed to control. Marcu Onișoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Goga in the 27th minute of play. Bloaja were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Popteleac's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Martin Trandafir took the corner. When Iulian Goga came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Bloaja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iulian Goga couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Nițoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Popteleac's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bloaja the free kick. 45 minutes into the game, one of Popteleac:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisc Bostan to strike the kick off in the second half. When Moise Rogozea fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Popteleac's protests and gave Moise Rogozea a yellow card for diving instead. Marcu Onișoru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nechifor Hodorog in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute Moise Rogozea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Boacă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes Bloaja's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tudor Gafița who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Manole Nica got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aurelian Boacă quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 68th match minute, Bloaja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Trandafir to maneuver through the defense. Marcu Onișoru made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Sever Oprea sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute, one of Popteleac:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Popteleac. Marcu Onișoru had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Martin Trandafir's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Bloaja getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Martin Trandafir hit a great ball. Marcu Onișoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Goga in the 91st minute of the match. Iulian Goga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bloaja's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
